2008 Southeast Petroleum After-Action Final Report
The National Association of State Energy Officials and U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability will host a workshop to discuss the transportation fuel supply disruption that occurred as a result of Hurricanes Gustav and Ike this fall.
The Workshop will discuss the roles and responsibilities of the key players in the context of the energy assurance guidelines. It will include topics including, but not limited to:
Inter- and Intra-State Organizational and Communication
Federal-State Communication (specifically with respect to DOE)
Fuel Supply Assessment (federal, State, company)
State Price Gouging Legislation
Data Confidentiality Issues
Options to Manage Limited Supply and Reduce Demand
Invited States include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.
